Out In About

The Children are so silly when you put them all together have four children all under the age of 8 is a hand full. i try to find new things to do I'm young and i didn't get the manual on how to operate a child. so a learn day by day i have some great people in my life to give me a helping hand. I find that when the children and i go for our walks is when we bond the most i learned that Deavon is crazy about dancing i mean he jerked all the way too the store and Davion swears he is a boss i men he wants to work every where he is so much like his dad very cocky and will find a way to work your nerves. Amani talks about everything the whole time we walk all i hear is mommy who is that what color is that lol! and as of Shakur he just moves his head and make loud nosies. They are so different and so beautiful and unique in their own ways!! just another a day in the life of Toya plus four! can we get a T.v show TLC call us!!

Color Time!!

As a mom you try to think of many things to keep your child a little busy. So i had the idea of making Amani a coloring wall, Yes i said it clear a Coloring wall. i wanted to put giant coloring pages on her wall at her height level were she could just stand and just coloring using washable Markers. I figured two days out of the week i would take some time out to color a picture with her since she is the only girl we could have some girl time. So as we colored shakur just had to get involved so we let him we colored and had a good time. but this wouldn't be a typically Amani story with out a spark of course on her day she went balls out with the coloring she manged to put maker every the t.v the dresser the bed even Shakur mouth.. his teeth where orange and his arms where green and she did her somebody art too! so yeah my lesson is learned when giving Amani anything to color just sit in with her or you end with this!!!

The Tonuge has been found!

Shakur just found out how to stick his tongue out.. Don't worry it perfectly normal so if your child is running around with their tongue out don't call him or her a freak. Don't do anything to stop it, is important that he/sh learn how his/her body works. Shakur is basically playing, he's figuring out what he can do with his mouth besides eating chicken lol!Did you know the mouth is one of the first areas that babies have good control over. I'm just happy he is not licking things like the wall or the floor hey he could be eat ting his boogers like a certain somebody we know lol! i must say when he dose stick his tongue out i can't stop laughing these are the moments you should hold on too!

Amani is now sleeping in her own bed!

Amani is such a diva and she wanted a room fit for a queen! The first thing that came to my mind was a princess room!! Amani said no she wanted no other than Dora.... i was hoping by re doing her room that maybe i can finally get her out of my bed for good.. Amani is almost 3 and yes she is still sleeping with mom and it would be okay if she didn't sleep like a wild women. She comes from a family that sleeps for their life Amani favorite auntie sleeps kinda wild so i hear and i guess Amani learned from the best how to manege to kick you in the face and fall off the bed all at the same time! her dad would always say put her in her bed but she would some how still wake up in our bed.. Now that she is getting older now is a better time then ever to get her out of my room. we went to WalMart and found some very inexpensive wall art stickers that were easy to apply to her walls. the hard part was putting her bed together ugh! it came in a box with what felt like a million pieces, lets just say after 3 break downs i finally finshed it thank God!! Amani loves her room with a total price of $125.00 and some old hand me down desk and dressers Amani has what she calls a room fit for a queen. The best part is She is now sleeping in her room every night with the help of princess and the frog DVD!
I found some great tips on line about trying to get your toddler in her/his bed you may find them use full!! go to http://www.thelaboroflove.com/thelaboroflove.com/ they have some great articles on how we can keep our toddlers in their beds!

The Heaed Museum

Today was so much fun and very enlighten. The children and I and our Existed little Gods Family went to the Museum... All 7 children jumped in the van and talked the whole way there i don't re call them stopping to even take a breath all we heard was "YAY!," Set Back.." move.. "no you move. When we got there as soon as you walk in they had all kinds of crafts laid out for the kids! they just ran with pure joy! The Native Cultures and arts were gr8 the children made a little of everything. "the Heard Museum is housed in a lovely Southwestern style building surrounding an open courtyard. Their main focus is the art and culture of the native people of the area. The collections are beautifully displayed, with very good labeling and accompanying explanations. There are excellent free public tours throughout the day. There is an outstanding exhibit of the boarding school experience of many of the Native Americans, enlivened by photos, films, and recordings of many of the former students. There are many interactive exhibits here -- not just old pottery. The Indian School exhibit is emotional, as well it should be. You can become educated about the 20+ tribes still living in AZ (who knew there were so many different ones)! I must say for me after viewing all this it left me kinda mad the fact that a people could just strip a group of people of their culture just sickens me! On another note the children loved the IndianHoop Dancers afterwards they headed out ice cream that totally got things hype. After the show we went in the court yard so the children can through rocks in the water Omg! you no amani had to do something a little nasty she stared drinking the water out of this nasty water fall the water was a light green. After drinking the water i took my eyes off her for 10sec. (Big NO NO!) amani jumped rite in she was all wet!!! for the rest of the tour..over all it was lovely we were there for over 3hrs by the end of the trip they were all a bit restless therefore the ride home was a little up tight dada didn't want to be touched. Amani didn't want to sit down Deavon wouldn't stop talking Shakur was sleep and i was hot lol! just another day with my little gods out in about!
